Here is a view, painted a half block from my house in the passenger seat of my car. This was done on Tuesday, the day of the big blizzard. I was driving home from the grocery store, and saw the -overcast but warm- sky peeking through the branches and pulled over.

Yeah, I couldn't feel my feet towards the end. It's too bad you are missing all of this snow!
Nice work. I suppose gettin up to see high rock was a hard one all in itself, much less painting it. For something as complex at first sight as high rock, you painted it very well.
Yes, you are right, the composition took a bit to nail down, mostly because of how close I was to the motif.
Elliot, however, was crackin' the whip on me, and after snowshoein' out so far I couldn't back down. It's good to have a bit of pressure once in a while.
