The Neighbors.

This was painted just after a snowfall looking out of my picture window across the street. I'm glad I painted it when I did, because now the snow looks more like mud.

After School Study #3.

Another study on Terrytown Road. I leave school just as the sun is setting and have lots of good subjects between there and home, sometimes things just work out!

This composition was begging to be painted. I waited until just after the sun went down behind the trees to begin mixing colors for this one and it made for quite the experience. Monet thought the light changed every 7 minutes, and I'd have to agree with him here!

Even though I've lived 20 miles away for most of my life, I'd never been to Leland before Saturday. The town is nestled between large rock outcroppings from the Baraboo bluffs. I can't wait for the snow to thaw enough to hike and paint at the Natural Bridge State Park.
